Our position, stated plainly
We publish no facial coding manual, no action-unit table, no scoring key and no certification material — our own or anybody else’s. Those materials are copyrighted works belonging to their authors and publishers, and reproducing or paraphrasing them without verified rights would be both unlawful and, in our view, professionally irresponsible.
What we do publish is original guidance on describing what is visible, and honest guidance on the error rate of inferring an internal state from it.
